John McAndrews is a lifelong resident of McHenry, Illinois. He received his undergraduate degree at Illinois State University where he majored in political science and was an active member of the Illinois State Mock Trial Team.
He chose to go to law school at Northern Illinois University where he was a member of the Dean's list and an active member of a number of student organizations. While at NIU John served on the board of the Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity, competed in Moot Court and Mock Trial competitions in addition to receiving his certificate in Criminal Law.
While at NIU Law, John also worked for the Zeke Giorgi Juvenile Justice Clinic in Rockford where he represented juvenile clients in a variety of different legal matters. John rounded out his studies at NIU by studying abroad in Agen, France where he studied French Law and the European Union.
Since joining the law office of Patrick J McAndrews, John has begun work in general practice. John does work in Real Estate, Traffic, Criminal, Zoning, Estate Planning, and more. John has also enjoyed having the unique privilege of learning under his father Patrick J McAndrews, who has been practicing law in McHenry for over 35 years.
